Profhilo or Filler — Which Is Right for You?
Both are hyaluronic acid, but they do very different jobs. Here is how to tell them apart.
The key difference
Filler adds volume at a specific point, such as the lips or cheeks. Profhilo adds no volume: it spreads through the skin and improves the quality, hydration and firmness of the whole area.
Profhilo suits
- Dehydrated, dull skin
- Mild to moderate laxity of face and neck
- Fine lines and loss of glow
Filler suits
- Lost volume in cheeks, lips or temples
- Deep folds such as smile lines
- Chin and jawline definition
Combining both
Many patients get the best result from both: Profhilo for skin quality and filler for structure. Profhilo is usually given in two sessions about a month apart.
